I would love to hear EXACTLY what section and subsection of the Patriot Act causes you all so much fear.

Due to a job I held in the early seventies and into the eighties in the DC area, I have been checked by the Secret Service, the FBI and my local police. I have worked in most of the highest security enclaves in the DC area although not in a secret capacity including NSA, NASA, the federal court building, the Rayburn senate office building, the Capitol, the White House, the Washington Hilton (site of numerous presidential appearances) and numerous others.

I have worked around and in close proximity to the President and several governors of California and Maryland. I have taken lie dectector tests and sworn to secrecy on a few items I was involved with during their presentation to members of the judiciary and congressional comittees.

To this day I have no fear of the provisions of the patriot act because i am not raising flags around probable terrorist activity or espionage of any kind.

I import electronic components for my business and they are always checked by customs for prohibited ICs and sub assemblies as well as drug or money smuggling just as they have been for 50+ years. I know the factory seals are broken during inspection but I still get all my parts. I am hiding nothing so why should I worry that someone is looking out for me and you (whether you believe it or not)?

Let me assure that the Secret Service will flag any danger area more rapidly and effectively than most anything a ordinary US citizen need worry about from the Patriot Act.
