My point was and is that under Dem presidents since Carter we have endured a lot of attacks on our country setting the stage for bolder attacks like 9-11. The problem is that we don't want to offend anyone so we let anyone come here almost without any restriction and do anything they please. If someone raises a red flag then the whistleblowers are accused of racial profiling or warrantless search etc. Then when something like 9-11 happens the same crybabies then scream "why didn't you know about this and stop it?" Betty how can you live in a country that you feel is so off the mark? I have NEVER heard you say a single thing positive about this country. You rail against the RIAA, the feds, you seem to feel that everyone and every government entity is out to get you or infringe on your personal desires. Reading your posts has convinced me that you really want anarchy-as long as your ideas are in practice. HINT: Anarchy is when NO ONE is in control. I wish there was a way to make you feel a bit happier. Perhaps you should get serious about your concerns and actually DO something-like run for congress. You have all the answers and you should not hold back your knowledge. For the betterment of your country, you should be resposible and become part of the solution by getting yourself and hundreds of other like minded folks to actually DO something aside from screaming obscenities and hurling insults. I grew up in Bethesda Md just outside of DC and a few of my jobs in my younger years involved working in some of the government agencies and being part of three senate hearings on military expenditures and weapons systems. I was not involved at the basic top secret levels, but I can tell you that the machinations that go on behind the scenes to protect you and hard massive and greatly detailed. No matter what you may think, the US government is actually trying to protect you as without compromising your basic freedoms.
