hi anna,
I use the Elegant Glass system. You probably already have the nails off by now, but in the past I have just used their Miracle Dissolve to roll of all coats of resin. Before doing this I clip the nails and remove the shine from the surface of the nail with your file to let the Miracle Dissolve penetrate the resin. Either roll off all coats and usually the nail tip will just flick off because once you get down to the final layer of resin the mesh will just come off and the tip is usually grown out enough after a few fills to be flicked off. Any remaining material on the nail can be buffed off with a regular white buffing block. I have done this without any damage whatsoever to the natural nail. I have never had to soak in acetone. Apply some cuticle oil and massage away.
Hope this helps.
Hope I have explained this so you understand. (I tend to ramble) E-mail me if you like, I like talking to others who have used EG system.

Stephanie
