I am a nail tech evenings and weekends and work in a health care facility during the day. The only way that Hepatitus C can be transmitted is through blood or body fluids. You would have to be sure to clean you area with bleach left on the area wet for 10 minutes to be sure that it is sanitized. Hepatitus can live outside the body for several days. So, if there is a blood exposure you should be sure to clean everything immediately. Even dried blood can transfer the disease. The only way that you would be able to contract the disease yourself is if you have and open cut or somehow have it on your hands and put your hands in your mouth or eyes. Hope this information is helpful.
Diane
