Most likely prep and product ratios----which is evberything when it comes to nails! There is no quick easy answer to this one. Practice and education are the only answers. Take some advanced training classes, buy and watch some videos, buy some nail books (see my library page in my website for recommendations), and read and then re-read my entire website. You need some practice on yourself, friends & family(guinea pigs) and practice hands before you tackle a paying clientele. Changing products is not the answer.

If you are working in a salon then have the owner or another tech watch you work and critique your work, or better yet, have them let you do their nails.
