Subject: I LOVED that Todd told Blair about Starr & The McBains. I am just waiting for Blair to start holding Starr responsible for her actions. I am SO SICK of Blair holding everyone else responsible (namely Todd) for STARR's actions & just sweeping her daughter's continued deception under the rug. WAKE UP, BLAIR!!! Starr is a burgeoning ADULT....Time to make her accountable!!!
In reply to: tonya 's message, "So Blair is protecting Starr and she doesn't even know the whole story... but Todd does. I wonder sometimes if Starr even cares Blair gave up her mrriage for her. She treats Blair just the way Todd taught her to. Tell Blair what you think she wants to know and lie and keep the rest from her." on 08:18:16 07/09/08 Wed

[> [> I think it's pretty clear that no one will ever hold Starr accountable for her part in this mess. She is painted as a perpetual victim who had "no choice" in all the events that have unfolded. It's a very unappealing portrayal and frankly, it's made it so I can no longer stand Starr as a character. -- Cathy, 14:02:18 07/09/08 Wed

[> [> [> BTW, I don't believe that Starr is offering her baby to Marcie purely for unselfish reasons. I think she's doing it to stick it to Todd and also because she wants to continue a care-free teenage life away from the responsibilities (and guilt if she let Blair or a nanny care for the infant) of motherhood. -- Cathy, 14:04:56 07/09/08 Wed

[> [> [> [> Agreed on both counts. Unfortunately, this story is painting Starr as a "victim" & completely without blame for her own actions--which is inane & so irresponsible on the part of OLTL!!! That's my biggest pet peeve about this story--even more than it being used as a catalyst for another T&B break-up/divorce. Apparently, OLTL wants us to view Starr as a 2-year-old with no concept of responsibility OR ability to deal with the repercussions of her actions. SPARE ME!!! -- LH, 14:19:17 07/09/08 Wed

[> [> [> [> I also agree that Starr wants to return to her "carefree" teen life & stick it to Todd by allowing the McBains to adopt her & Cole's baby. However, I think Starr will encounter MANY obstacles in her pursuit to "kill two birds with one stone". -- LH, 14:23:11 07/09/08 Wed
