Subject: Blair/John

To be honest, I am absolutely disgusted by this turn of events. I think that it shows that Blair has shown no growth whatsoever. It is demeaning to the character to have her with a different man (sometimes more than one) every year! What kind of message would she be sending her daughter? How does this make her a good mother?

I can see Todd getting Sam back very easily after this. Blair is not acting in a responsible manner at all.

I have ZERO interest in this storyline. I will be FF all of the Blair/John scenes.

[> This is how I feel as well, Ann. Disgusted and disappointed is an understatement. I had hopes that RC would be more creative for both Blair and Todd, but I guess not. It terms of Blair's actions in particular, it's all so predictable, seen 1000 times before. Who's next? Antonio? I guess they'll save him for 2009. My ff'd button will be getting a workout - at least when it comes to Blair/John. -- Cathy, 07:25:39 07/21/08 Mon

[> I do not see how Blair being with John would affect Blair's custody of Sam. Blair's choice of men will not make her an unfit mother. Compared to Todd who has his former rape victim in his house of lies, Blair is no way going to lose custody her children. Its not a big deal. At least this turn of events has generated alot of discussion on Kassie's board. I honestly never remember the board being so hoppin. -- sparklebarbie, 07:37:44 07/21/08 Mon

I see no reason for Blair to lose custody of Sam just because she's with John.I mean the courts are not going to care who the woman is in a relationship with as long as she is not absusing or neglecting her children.Which she is not.

[> Wow! And Todd is the example of how to live the exemplary life?!! Yep, bash Blair first. It's all her fault. Maybe Todd would like to raise his son with his rape victim. Now wouldn't that be a nice home for him? Big bad Blair for stepping up to the plate and doing the right thing! -- San, 08:54:58 07/21/08 Mon

[> [> You did not get the memo, San, its always blair's fault, Blair can do no right, and Todd can do no wrong. Todd will call Blair all kinds of names for moving on with her life, he will judge her in disgust, even though he is the one who is victimizing Marty all over again. Todd is a nasty little toad made of teflon. -- sparklebarbie, 09:08:25 07/21/08 Mon

[> [> Neither Todd or Blair are really doing the "right" thing. Todd is holding Marty hostage and Blair is opening for McBain. The lesser of two evils is BLair. I do not in any way shape or form condone her behavior with McBain- especially with a pregnant teen and two little boys to raise- it makes her look questionable as their guardian. I would prefer BLair to be smarter than this. -- Heather, 09:12:37 07/21/08 Mon

[> [> [> We can agree that neither is without fault. But there is a huge gap between the two as far as their actions. Todd need an all expense paid trip to St Anne's otherwise what hope does Blair have to hang on to. She's turned to John's friendhip and there's nothing wrong with that. Todd? He seems to only consult himself and digs a deeper hole for himself. Now them's some morales, alright! -- San, 09:25:41 07/21/08 Mon

Just because Blair is with a man that you don't like she's a bad parent.Come on people get real.

[> [> I don't think it's the man so much(even though I don't want them together romantically) as I think it is the timing. She should be concerned more NOW w/ Starr & her boys. That's all. As far as Todd goes, he past being a lost cause ages ago. JMO -- Terry C, 09:29:30 07/21/08 Mon

[> [> [> In my opinion, right now, Blair is all about the kids, since she kicked Todd out of Creme Brulee, she has made them her focus. Sadly, for reasons only known to Starr, she has completely shut Blair out, and Starr has made Marcie, her go to person. Also, Blair needs a sounding board where she can vent about everything. Addie is busy with David. Dorian is busy period. Cassie is gone. Kelly is gone. Only one who is really there offering to listen is John, but being friends with John is not at the expense of her kids. -- sparklebarbie, 09:44:36 07/21/08 Mon

He really doesn't offer her any good advice or intelligent conversation -I just wonder what she sees in him. He is nice to her, so what- where is the appeal?!!! -- Heather, 10:08:15 07/21/08 Mon

He was very upset last we saw him. Who knows how he is now since no one (including his mom and dad) ever even mention him. -- Cathy, 10:35:52 07/21/08 Mon

[> [> [> ITA. It is not so much John- although yuck! It is the fact that instread of being strong for her children and herself- she is bedding another man. I mean I would think that Blair would change a little considering that Starr is a pregant. Plus she is really not a part of the Starr drama. She is isolated with McBoring!!! -- Heather, 10:04:51 07/21/08 Mon

At least with John she doesn't have to worry about Sam being in a car without a child restraint seat or Starr being pushed down a flight of stairs.John is a good man and Blair is lucky that he is there for her, because no one else is.

[> [> Very true, at least with John as a friend, Blair never needs to worry about John being around her kids. Blair wanted Todd to stop abusing children, but that was concept he could not grasp, and that's not Blair's fault. -- sparklebarbie, 10:19:31 07/21/08 Mon
