Subject: Looks to me my girl knew full well, at least in the back of her mind, what she was doing today. The way her and John are looking at each other makes it obvious they are feeling the same thing. I love the look they gave each other when she said she was lying and went there to see him.

Blair and John are both single adults and neither is involved with anyone else right now. I think both felt the same thing from the time Blair got there... and that is fine with me. I am no one's booty call but it is ok with me that my favorite fictional soap character has one. The talk they had about Blair not knowing who she is anymore was great. I love the waty John listens to her and the way she leans on him. Damned... I have to run so I am gonna miss he end but will catch it when I get back.

I know many of you hate this and I respect that. But I am loving it and so are many others... so let's all just make sure we respect each other... both ways.

Tonya

[> Yes, she knew exactly what she was doing. She was going to get laid. And it's not about consenting adults or an honest friendship or anything like that. She whines about her life having no direction, yet the only direction she seems interested right now is the direction of John's wang. I don't think Blair is getting anything positive out of this. And at this point, I'm thinking it serves her right for insisting on playing the same damn game every single time. -- Dandesun, 11:36:22 07/24/08 Thu

I don't consider John/Blair an honest healthy relationship that's good for Blair. I see it as nothing more than a PLOT POINT.

And worst of all is this 'tee hee! well, at least you're talking about it' mentality. Like, it doesn't matter how badly Blair gets crapped on as long as we howl about it.

This does Blair no favors. I can only wonder what everyone's reaction is going to be when John dumps Blair for Marty... will we still be celebrating their beautiful honest friendship then? Or will this get called what it is? Blair setting herself up again because sex is all she seems to know how to do anymore?

[> [> The sad this is that Blair said everything that I wanted her to say- she is lost, wants to be someone again, wants to be proud of who she is. Then she is going to have sex with John and everything she just said is meaningless!! Booty calls do not equal growth or adult relationships!! If John really respected Blair he would tell her that sex isn't the answer. -- Heather, 11:48:20 07/24/08 Thu

[> [> [> It's all so sad. And so predictable. Remember a month or so ago when I guessed that Blair would immediately have sex with John because he was there and available? People were like - you don't know that, stop saying that, when is this supposed sex gonna happen. Well, turns out I did know it and I didn't even have an early script. It's always the same with Blair. -- Cathy, 17:49:53 07/24/08 Thu

[> [> [> [> It's not always the same with Blair. I do not have any issues with Blair having sex to numb her pain. That is Blair. Not owning it and making it about her gratification is NOT. She could have walked into that room and thrown John on the bed and had her way with him, and I would have loved it. But Blair mewing to John about how wounded she is, then looking at him entreatingly and hoping for affirmation is NOT BLAIR!!!! -- Trudi, 20:00:45 07/24/08 Thu

[> [> Oh I wouldn't be so sure Blair isn't going to get a positive out of this...she's gonna catch a positive case of barnacles..lice and crustaceans...Seriously know does Blair actually think she is about to find the meaning of life and sorting her self out in between flicking off the fleas rolling around with that mangy dickwad...You would think a girl who always has her head in fairytales would have higher aspiration. -- sluva, 11:51:03 07/24/08 Thu

[> [> Dande I don't see Blair falling in love with John right now, and if she does and Marty comes back... then we will see what happens. Right now I am going to enjoy the time they are getting. I see it different than you and there is nothing wrong with either opinion... they are just different. I love the respect he is giving Blair and that he cares enough to listen to her feelings and that she feels comfortable enough to talk to him about them. -- tonya, 16:54:14 07/24/08 Thu

[> [> You know, I would have been fine with these scenes if it was just about Blair going and getting what she wants. I don't care if she just wants sex. Or just wants to forget. Or just wants whatever she needs at the moment. -- Trudi, 18:08:07 07/24/08 Thu

But Blair showing up all defeated and vulnerable just doesn't work for me. I would love for Blair to wake up in the morning and say "Thanks! That was great. Just what I needed." and that be it. And let John feel used.

[> [> [> I... could actually deal with that. I mean, I wish Blair wouldn't wallow in the Greasening but if she was totally mercenary about it that might be something I could get behind. I get that she doesn't know who she is but this... isn't answering that. This comes off to me as "I don't know who I am... validate me, please!" I'd rather it be something else. -- Dandesun, 18:28:37 07/24/08 Thu

[> [> [> [> I knew we could find some middle ground. I just hate that this is about Blair in a state of weakness. If she were taking command of her life, her next steps and this was just a step along the way? I'd be great. But the handwriting is already on the wall. She's there because she doesn't have anyone else. And she and John are expressing themselves in their usual nonverbal way. This could actually be good if it was about Blair, being Blair. But as long as it's about McBain being McBain? ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz -- Trudi, 18:33:42 07/24/08 Thu

I couldn't agree more Tonya.I love that Blair finally after all these years has someone who listens and cares about her and what she's feeline and what she wants.John is a good man with a good heart. So I can't wait to see how this plays out.

[> [> i agree Tonya.... and its good that blair has a good friend that she can go to and he will actually listen to her and cares about her feelings...bc john has asked blair many times how she was doin since this whole thing started..and thats good.. it shows that he cares.. and thats what blair needs is a man that cares enough about her to ask her.. and i am ready to see how this whole John & Blair storyline plays out... i think its goin to be GREAT!!! -- Jessica Ann (Happy for John & Blair), 12:32:33 07/24/08 Thu

[> I loved how heartbreaking honest and open Blair was today with John. (click to read more a very long post on my observation's of Blair's behavior today) -- sparklebarbie, 16:24:00 07/24/08 Thu

Late at night with her kids asleep, the loneliness become too much for Blair which is understandable knowing being alone has always been Blair's biggest fear so she went to talk to a friend who has always told her ever since the downfall of Doctor Truman that whenever she wants to talk about anything he is there to listen, and Blair talked.

She talked about Dorian's house being so big and beautiful, but at the same time, it can also be very quiet and lonely place so she had to get out for alittle bit. Blair said she went to John because she wanted to have an adult conversation, and I believe her.

Todd is a man-child. She has her children who are always her main priority, but with the exception of John, she has had no adult interaction. Sadly, all the other adults in Blair's life are too busy with their own stuff.

Blair said she wanted an adult conversation, but I really think she just wanted to talk, and have someone just listen her ramble about everything through her mind without passing judgment on her.

I thought it was really sweet when Blair was telling John how sometimes Dorian's house feels so big and empty, but then, tonight she just couldn't get enough air, the light bulb immediately went off for John, and he got a couple of glasses along with a bottle of whisky and took Blair to the roof to get some air. I was just taken aback by John's sensitivity to what Blair was feeling, and I think Blair was too. Unfortunately, Blair is not used to having people actually listening to her like really listen to her.

On the rooftop, again Blair did the talking and John along with the viewers did the listening. She straight out asked John, what he would do without his job, and my heart already began to sink alittle because I knew where Blair was going with her line of questioning. John did not get she was asking so he answered that he didn't know because his job was all he had, and it gave him a reason to get up in the morning. Blair shot back that it beats lying awake at night, wondering, if your life has any meaning, and at that moment I knew that Blair was talking about herself.

Of course, she said that her kids give her meaning everyday, but it was a long time since she has actually been proud of something she did. John asked the question that was on my mind which was when was last time Blair felt proud of herself, and Blair replied when she was a reporter which surprised because I did not know that being a reporter had meant so much to Blair.

I soon realized why I did not know being a reporter meant so much to Blair because Blair confessed to John that over the years, Blair has spent so much time being somebody to somebody else that she does not know who she is anymore. It was so true and so sad.

I can not to see Blair rediscover herself again, and learn all over again who she is.

[> [> [> thanks Tonya and Cammie, glad you enjoyed my ramblings, sometimes i do have my moments, I just loved Ron Carlivati giving us a glimpse into what was going through Blair's mind. I am curious to see if Blair will ask Viki for a job at The Banner. Blair was one of the best reporters around. I think Viki would hire her in second, but it would probably piss off Dorian to know Blair will be working for Viki...lol. -- sparklebarbie, 18:50:45 07/24/08 Thu

[> [> John drinking whiskey is sensitive? Right. Again. John not talking is not the same as really listening. Once a response is required, we know what will happen. My problem isn't Blair. Who I love. My problem is Blair is being dilluted so John McBain can exist in her blazing inferno. She's whiny and weak and so vulnerable. Like EVERY woman John has ever been with. -- Trudi, 18:17:57 07/24/08 Thu

I would LOVE to see Blair become the City Editor of the BANNER. I'm glad she finally admitted that she's been abused by Todd.

[> That's great. Why didn't she just go in and get what she wanted? THAT'S my Blair. She would have grabbed him by the collar and kissed him. She wouldn't have played the injured party. She would have said outright "I've been wanting this" and she would have grabbed him by the throat and kissed him long and deep. AND HE WOULD HAVE LIKED IT! -- Trudi, 18:37:10 07/24/08 Thu

Po Po pitiful Blair will never work for me.
