Subject: I think Blair is, and will accept responsibility. Right now she has to focus on finding Starr and getting to the bottom of it all. That's taking responsibility. Todd on the other hand, has yet to accept any and it still dellusional. I get his anger but it's way over the top and unreasonable. Everyone has made mistakes, yes, but he's the only one out of touch with reality.
In reply to: LH 's message, "ICAM, Cathy. All are wrong & all must accept responsibility. This situation & aftermath has resulted because of ALL their actions & behavior. No one person is to blame. Blair's main concern here extends beyond family peacemaker (Click)....." on 11:30:39 05/15/08 Thu

[> [> [> I agree that Todd is out of touch with reality. Although I think Sole is also out of touch with reality. I guess they get a pass because they're teens and I understand that. I think Todd really wants to control his anger, but doesn't know how. His strong emotions for his little girl (the one who literally saved his life) are ruling him right now. Unfortunately, it looks like it will lead to tragedy for everyone and spark off the same ole storyline cycle for Todd and Blair. And I was so hoping for something different this time. -- Cathy, 06:57:07 05/18/08 Sun

[> [> [> [> They're not getting a pass. No way is a 16 year old girl giving birth to a baby a "pass". Whether she chooses to abort, put the baby up for adoption or raise it herself, it is a lifechanging experience and a lot for a 16 year old to handle. That old adage, "old enough to have sex, old enough to have a baby," really doesn't cut it. She's still 16, a kid herself. -- otwb, 13:40:46 05/18/08 Sun

They started all this and their choices were at LEAST as stupid as Todd's were. -- Cathy, 13:56:33 05/18/08 Sun

Todd's beat the crap out of him a couple of times, short of murdering him in the street that's all Todd's really allowed to do to him. UNFORUNATELY, there are laws against stringing him up, which would be my choice. The guys usually do get a free pass, maybe that should be the object lesson in this. -- otwb, 14:15:26 05/18/08 Sun

Otherwise, Blair should put her foot down with her and remind her every day of the week what she did and why she's in this situation while her friends are out having fun being teenagers with no responsibilities. -- OTWB, 16:07:23 05/18/08 Sun

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> Todd and Starr should never, ever, ever, be held to the same standards. Todd has two decades on Starr and god knows what he was doing when he was her age. No doubt taking good notes from Peter Manning on how to beat on kids and act like he is well within his rights. -- sluva, 14:27:48 05/18/08 Sun

I guess I am of the opinion that 16 year olds are suppose to be stupid impulsive and some what idealistic. {I was..everyone I know.. was} I am also of the opinion they didn't start anything. They had sex[unprotected] Which as of this moment none of the parents know about. This could have been handled in a manner that would not have had everyone in that house paying the price. Instead it was handled by the chronically stupid Todd with Blair playing the blind referee. Since her parents were once that age one would think they would think back to when they were teenagers and deal with what happened with some modicum of humanity and familiarity.... rather Todd acts like the second coming of Caligula and Blair staring as the ambiguous umpire. Adults are suppose to be there to help and guild and nurture not abuse then look around for absolution. Or worse yet imo look around to share the blame of wrong doing with the very kids they are suppose to be taking care of.

IMO..

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> I'm good with THAT. The only upside of Blair right now, is she's not dangerous to Starr. She's being an idiot with the, "oh they're in love," garbage. Sixteen year olds are not "in love". Todd was very right about that. Bouncing hormones, with a big bite. -- OTWB, 16:10:22 05/18/08 Sun

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Sure thing.. I think Blair would rather think they are in love and had sex because of that than have it be something so mundane as they had sex simply because they were horny toads. If that were the case they would have done it ages ago...without the fear of Hawaii looming on the horizon I guess. -- sluva, 17:16:36 05/18/08 Sun

Sixteen year old don't know jack about nuthin. They think they know but they don't have a flippin clue.

[> [> [> [> Todd is a grown up, if he really wants to control his anger, he'll get the help he so desperately needs. It sounds to me like it might be forced on him and that's fine with me. If he doesn't, then its his choice. Regardless, there is no way I'd want my child to carry a baby in a home with an angry, abusive father. Its too much and it is wrong. Its not about free passes, IMHO. -- OTWB, 13:49:03 05/18/08 Sun
