The John character bores me to tears. I see no chemistry with John and Blair, esp. not romantic. I wouldn't be surprised if Blair slept with him though. Isn't that what she usually does when she has a fight with Todd - bed the next available man? Talk about lather, rinse, repeat. -- Cathy, 10:20:16 05/30/08 Fri
How about Todd gets therapy, Blair stays faithful to her marriage, and they actually work TOGETHER to help Starr through the pregnancy? Now THAT would be something different!

I have not seen Blair jump into bed with anyone. She is thinking about her children including Sam. I would love to see John and Blair's chemistry tested in a real way and see what happens. Blair may be the one telling Todd to leave but it is Todd who has detached himself emotionally from his family. Blair deserves to have a friend to lean on. -- tonya, 10:31:31 05/30/08 Fri

A friend, yes. A bed partner, no. Blair is still married to Todd (for now), Starr is pregnant, and Sam is in her custody. It would be nice if she didn't sleep with anyone just yet and we got something different in terms of how T&B handle their problems. -- Cathy, 10:38:38 05/30/08 Fri
I thought it was telling the other day when Blair said, "I give up" and Addie said, "maybe that's your problem."
Please. No more "sex as a salve" when it comes to Blair. She already used it as a salve from her fights with Todd with Patrick and Sam and Kevin and Spencer and Cristian. Can we try a new route?

So far I see not indication that Blair is looking for a "bed partner", Cathy! She is dealing with her family right now so don't get too concerned yet. I sit on the opposite side of the fence from you but there is still a lot of story to play out here before anyone is hitting the sheets! -- San, 11:57:10 05/30/08 Fri

I agree, San, right now, I see absolutely nothing that gives the impression that Blair is on the prowl. This is the first time ever that T&B have broken up where Blair is clearly being written as the one to root for, and its about time. Ron Carlivati has Blair talking about her past, and that has not been in years. Finally, there is a head writer who is a Blair fan, but I can not wait to see what Ron writes for Blair. -- lucy, 12:11:58 05/30/08 Fri

I see no indication (yet) that Blair is looking for a bed partner either, San. But it is part of the "pattern" and when SOD writes a "thumbs up" for John/Blair romance before Blair is even divorced from Todd, I am led to believe that Blair's next male partner cannot be far off. I hope I'm wrong because I will be disgusted otherwise. -- Cathy, 16:22:48 05/30/08 Fri

I can't see two women fighting over McBain, he's icky. You have to know that Jolie/Jovan was merely an excuse to hit the FF'd button or go take a pee. HATED all involved. I didn't get it, didn't want to get it. Sorry.... I guess though they have to come up with something to do with Marty/John besides having them try to out whine each other. Whatever... lets just hope they don't do the burning cheerleader thing again, don't think I could take it. -- OTWB, 15:30:09 06/01/08 Sun

Blair is too busy with Starr, Jack, Sam, and Addie to have time to even want the headache of a man. Yes, John has become one of her best friends who she can confide in him, but Blair is still in love with Todd and John is still in love with Marty so for the foreseenable future, I only see Blair&John being best friends, and that's it. Neither one is in the right place now to start a new romance. -- lucy, 05:59:16 06/02/08 Mon

I just have a hard time with a Blair/John/Marty Triangle. We watched the same thing happen with Blair/Patrick/Marty in the 90s. It's been done.
Love or hate Todd ... if Blair is going to move on, she deserves someone that will give her their full and undivided attention.
And while this may tick people off, if it's not Roger Howarth playing Todd, it's just not Todd to me ... and it's hard for me to even cheer on Blair and Todd anymore.
All that being said ... I hated the Marty/John pairing. I hated that they killed off Patrick. Patrick and Marty and Blair and Todd were my favorite couples for years. To have Marty come back a widow really hurt my opinion of the writing. I remember buying books with Thorsten Kaye reading poetry. Marty and Patrick were SUCH the perfect couple. I know Thorsten is in the middle of a big story on AMC, but bringing him back would make so many Marty/Patrick fans happy!
Blair doesn't need to get tangled up with another man that has feelings for someone else. She needs to be with someone that sees her for the beautiful and wonderful woman that she is. I'm sick of seeing her play second fiddle to Marty, Tea, Skye, Evangeline, etc.
She deserves better!

I understand that you are a diehard T&Ber, Cathy, but I do not see this as the same lather, rinse, repeat cycle. Blair is very strong right now, and determined to put the kids first. This time I do not see Blair putting a red dress, and drowning her sorrows in booze. Blair is not having a pity party for herself. This time Todd did not go after her, he went after the children which makes it very different. -- lucy, 10:43:47 05/30/08 Fri

lucy, when I hear Todd call Blair a slut, threaten to destroy her, etc, I see it as the beginning of lather rinse repeat. I can already tell you what will happen next mainly cause I've seen it a million times before -- Cathy, 11:15:44 05/30/08 Fri
Todd will try to kidnap Jack and Sam. That's a given. Blair will have to call police, get more restraining orders, etc. Blair in turn will turn to a man for "comfort" (aka sex) be it John or someone else. Todd will find out Blair slept with said man and go ballistic. Todd will print libelous statements about Blair in The Sun.
It's all so predictable. I just wish that RC would take the Todd/Blair portion of this story in a direction that we haven't seen before. I understand why Blair kicked Todd out. She has to protect the children, there is no question about that. But I'd like to see a different path for them. How about Todd gets therapy or Blair commits him to St. Ann's and forces him to get help? How about Blair doesn't fall into bed with the next man who is nice to her? How about both stay faithful to each other and work together to help Starr through the pregnancy? But I doubt we'll see any of that.

I'm trying real hard to forgive Blair for saying that BS about Cole and Starr being in love... ugh, blech, but otherwise I'm liking Blair in this story. -- OTWB, 14:06:00 06/01/08 Sun
I've always felt that one of the reasons that Todd has loved Blair thru so much is that in spite of everything, she's strong enough to protect those kids, even from him. In spite of Todd's obvious lack of remorse over what he's done to Starr, I have to believe that he loves his kids. Protecting them from the craziness, even his own, is what Blair does best. I think Todd is BSC right now, I hope he gets help and it just doesn't turn into SOS; as in, he does some half ass apology, she takes him back and then he goes off on another idiot tangent, while she sucks it up. Who needs that? Not THIS T&B'er, sick o'that.
If he calls her a whore or a slut again, I hope she tells him to go to hell. I don't see anyone on the horizon for Blair to have an affair with. In all actuality, she really isn't one to do that. She only sleeps with other men when she's NOT married to Todd, anyway.

I just thought it was funny that Todd declared that Blair was a slut who was not fit to raise a stuffed animal knowing all the testimony that was said in the courtroom against Todd who would just smirk like it was all one big joke. He is so bat shit crazy. Its impossible to take anything he says seriously. Blair's offer to take care of Sam had everything to do with Blair's upbringing in foster care, and I hope Ron Carlivati continues to explore Blair's upbringing. -- lucy, 05:53:23 06/02/08 Mon
