One of my final thoughts on the play A Raisin in the
Sun, is that I am glad the Youngers decided to move in
the end. Also, the family moving is like they are
wipeing their slate clean ans starting over. I think
the family moving will be a good change for them and
hopfully will bring them better luck in getting out of
the lower class. One of the first predictions I made when I started reading the play was Mama wouldn't be stupid enough to give the money to Walter. My prediction was wrong but, I realized she was not stupid for giving him the money. Mama gave Walter the money because she cares more about making her family happy than making herself happy. I would recomend this play to all my peers. I would recomend it because as you are reading the book it seems that you learn along with the younger family when ever they get into a pridicament. Also it really gives you a feeling about the time period. The final message I got from the book was that sometimes it is more important to feel good about the decision you make instead of gaining a materialistic thing from the decision. I got this from the scene where Walter called Mr. Lindner over to tell him that they would except the money and not move into the house. In the end the family realized that if they were to take Mr. Lindner's money they would be saying that it is okay for whites not to want to live with African Americans.
