Subject: Christmas Incense, Dudes & Dudettes!

If you have a living room just off the kitchen, as most of you that I've visited do, a nice touch at Christmas time is the following:
Get a saucepan, fill it 2/3 full of water
Add aromatic herbs and spices such as:
- cinnamon stick
- whole allspice
- whole cloves
- pieces of nutmeg
- lemon rind
- orange rind
Bring to a near-boil, then cut right back to simmer. The smell gives the kitchen and neighbouring rooms a nice warm Christmasy aroma that you can let go unattended for hours. Only a few pennies worth of spices does the trick! It'll last through a few top-ups of the water and you can always toss a few more pieces of cinnamon or clove in to freshen the scent!
