You don't have to live that close. The darn butt wasn't ready until almost 8pm. You'd have had enough time to drive here for supper and even make a pit stop in Toronto to visit the CN tower,lol. It's the second time this happens to me where instead of 2 hours per pound it turns into 2 1/2 hour almost per pound. I don't get it. Could it be I use a deboned butt and the bone is not there to transfer the heat inside the meat?
Nevertheless, it was worth the wait. Luckily there was plenty of hors-d'oeuvres to keep the guests from growling too much, lol.
