Subject: Webber Smoker versus Green egg!

I hve been usin a "Mecco" Water smoker for last 2 years and did mods to it but becuz of the drilling to the charcoal pot and using it so much the lip that holds the 1/4 inch rods is slowly starting to weaken
Today I went to a BBQ centre in Niagara Falls Ont and they sell the Green egg units. I priced em and OH MY GAWD!! I wunder if they will take my " First born" as a down payment!! They R xpensive!
I know the Weber Smoker is much cheaper but as I live alone and either Grill on My Weber one touch (or hve used the gas BBQ which is dying) I am ready to buy a decent Smoker.
I dont mind spending the buck on a decent smoker but am wondering which wud be the best choice in the long run.
