Subject: Temp Equivalence?

I'm behind not one but two eight balls here. I read this thai fish recipe. Any fish it says, baked with veges, spices and what-not wrapped in banana leaves at 400 for 20-25 minutes. Getting the banana leaves was the easiest part. I'm thinking of trout but I never smoked fish before and how do I translate 20-25 minutes into smoking at 200-225? The only wood I have is pecan, cherry, apple or hickory, no adler nor cedar. Anyone with an idea?
