Subject: How about a 'Q' club?

Hey folks!

I had an idea while kicking around yesterday. Let me know what you think.

The off-season is pretty much upon us, and we have a lot of time to kill until we get back into the swing of things, so I was thinking that to maintain our skills and enjoy some fellowship and merriment, we could start a little BBQ club.

I haven't completely thought it through, but the basic idea is taht we get together one Saturday every 6-8 weeks, bring a cooker with us, and everyone cooks a pre-determined meat (ribs, shoulder, chicken, you get the idea) as well as bringing a side dish. While we're cooking and socializing we'll draw 6 names of people who aren't cooking to be judges and assign a table captain. The winner will take home a cup to hold onto until the next meeting, which they will be responsible for hosting.

So, what do you think? Does the idea have any merit at all and would it be something you'd be interested in?
