Subject: Smoky sauce

I did an experiment yesterday. I made a batch of sauce while the ribs were cooking in the WSM. After it cooled I put it through the blender and used it to mop the ribs on the grill to finish them. After supper I had an idea. The smoker was still a hot a little so I took the sauce which was in a bowl, not yet in the jars, and put it in the smoker for a few hours and it worked: smoky bbq sauce without using liquid smoke. But it's a bit salty, I guess water evaporates but not salt. I'll just put less salt next time I intend to do the smoker thing.
