Subject: TENNESSEE WIN

The frying pan bbq team, made up of fran and judy fry, won first place for the dessert category at the annual Tennessee State Championship Barbecue Cook-Off on June 29.
They won a blue ribbon and a check for $200. The dessert was Butterfinger Creme Brulee and earned a near perfect score, only 1.2 points away. If you want the recipe you can go to goerie.com and type in fran fry in the search to find it. It was in my sunday food column a couple of weeks ago. This is really delicious. The cookoff was held in Lawrenceburg, Tenn. It was sponsored by Wild Turkey Burbon and the Lawrenceburg Kiwanas Club. 30 teams from tenn., kentucky, ala. and one from Pennsylvania competed. We are cooking in Wildwood, N. J. on July 13 and 14th. Hope to see all of you soon. fran and judy.
