Have experimented alot with pizza on the grill.
A good beginners start is to buy "Baboli" pre cooked pizza crusts and experiment with toppings. We have done artichoke with goat cheeze, scallops and scallions, we added pre-cooked sausage as the cooking chamber on grill "Baboli" precooked crusts are a bit expensive compared to other pre-cooked crusts but had the best flavor.
we also have pre-cooked our own crusts using a variety of dough recipes and using my wifes bread maker to mix and raise the dough.
Good luck and don't be afraid to try new and different toppings according to your tastes.
PS. we cook them on a gas grill on the front of my friends houseboat,,great beach food!!!!!!!
