morning, Ollie. Check out the fireplace stores for paint for your pit. Dave Klose uses De rusto 1300* on his product. Just be sure to clean off all the grease and oil before you begin. My favourite BBQ book is Jamisons' Smoke and Spice followed by their Sublime Smoke. You shouldn't have any trouble finding either one. Best part is they won't break the bank!
