Subject: Re: Lump vs Briquette Charcoal ??

Mornin Rob:
I made my own coals for about 8 years. and it is fun and neat to do, but it a lot mor work.
I had an 18" round pipe about 1/2" thick and 4' high. I cut out a hole at the bottom about 1' x 1' and put a grate just above it to hold the logs. Just keep it filled with wood and when you need more coals hit the pipe with a sledge hammer and bingo you have coals.
Hope that helps.
Bruce
