Hi Reg!

I've never seen that segment before. What show was it on?

I have been to Schwartz's 20 or so times in the last ten years and every time it has been busy like that. It's almost like their trademark to have that big long line. It's also very reminiscent of some New York delis in that you are told to grab a seat wherever youcan find an empty one. Your party usually ends up sitting in different areas and you end up sitting beside strangers to enjoy your sandwich. If you have never been it's an experience everyone should try at least once. A couple of tips; Order it medium or fatty for the best flavour, I don't even know why they offer it lean, I've never seen anyone order it. A native Montrealer years ago told me the best beverage to have with the sandwich was cheery cola. I thought it strange but gave it a try. I don't know why but she was absolutely right. If you look around the deli you'll see a lot of cherry colas. One last thing, be every careful with the pickle. I'm convinced they put some sort of addictive substance in them, I always end up forking over money for extra pickles.

Damn! It's not even 11:00 in the morning and I'm hungry now!
