Good luck with the WSM. I never thought I'd be giving advise on this board but I found that ( with the minion method), upon firing it up, when the temp reaches about 170 at the top I close all vents and it stabelizes at 200-225 within 45 minutes and doesn't peek much. Most of the time I run that baby with all 3 vents closed after that for 6-7 hours straight without a slightest change in temp. Good to talk to u again.
