Subject: Oh Canada !! in Etobicoke

Howdy everyone,

The wife and I just got back from the ribfest in Etobicoke, and we are both stuffed to the eyeballs !! Too bad the wind was so strong. It kept everyone on their toes trying to hold down their napkins, forks, awnings, tents and signs. Funny enough, I didn't see any ribs being blown out of anyone's hands !! LOL

We tried racks from 4 different outfits,(2 Canadian, and 2 American) and the Canadians kicked some rib butt !! I personally thought that The Crazy Canucks had the nicest ribs of all. They were extremely tender with a stronger smoke taste. Camp 31 were no slouches either ! Their ribs had the nicest sauce and their rack was HUGE !! The Gator BBQ from Florida had nice sides, and the Kentucky BBQ were selling very tasty baby backs.

The wife kept telling me that she liked my ribs better. I guess that she's fishing for a special rack of "applebacks" next weekend. Can one get tired of ribs ?? I guess that's why the Good Lord invented brisket, chicken and shoulder !!

If anyone's in the area, stop by Centennial Park for a feast. The ribfest ends tomorrow. We might just end up there again tomorrow !!

JMC
