dear SEVEN INCHES fans

what's my favourite SEVEN INCHES song?

well its all a question of hats.

(From "Yes Minister":
JIM: with my european hat on, I think it would be a good idea. With my parliamentary hat on, i think it would be a bad idea. And with my party hat on, I can see there are arguments on both sides.
SIR HUMPHREY: And which hat are you talking through at the moment, Minister?)

with my songwriting hat on, my favourite SEVEN INCHES song is "Pettigrew crescent", partly because it was my first ever song, it's mine all mine and it still sounds good if i play it by myself on my guitar.
with my pop hat on, my favourite SEVEN INCHES song is "Openness and Honesty", though like all pop you can have too much of a good thing.
with my revolutionary hat on, or my rock n roll hat, my favourite SEVEN INCHES song is defitely "Bop Bop Shu Wap" , which the SEVEN INCHES don't even play abnymore (and it DOESN"T sound good when i play it on my own, malheureusement.)
when I'm not wearing any hat, i prefer Jonathan Richman.

what's YOUR favourite hat?

Your friend,
Ian SEVEN INCH, the singer with the SEVEN INCHES who doesn't play keyboards
