I saw him once and I thought he was the worst thing I'd ever seen ever! maybe I was in the wrong mood? Something about this anti folk thing I'm not sure about, it's ethos says that anyone can do a solo album, but there are some people who should never ever record a solo album.
karl bartos from kraftwerk's first solo album was dreadful college rock, so he should never have had a solo album and he was in one of the best bands in the world ever, his second album was better but thats cause he got andy mcclusky from omd to sing on it. and wolfgang flurs album with mouse on mars had it's moments but wasn't great. so even if yr in a great band doesn't mean that you should release a solo record.
though a solo record by any of the seven inches would be astounding!
