Subject: hey, kids! comics

Been meaning to mention this for a while

What Leeds has always needed is a good Comic Shop.

well now it's got one! well, compared to the Beguiling in Toronto or Gosh in London it's pretty small but it has all your classic new indie comics and i'm sure he can get you what you want.

Usually peopl edon't know what the hell i'm talking about when i mention comics. I don't mean the Beano or Hellraiser or the X-men, i'm talking about rockin' reading material for adults and seven inches fans that has rockin pictures in it.

Stuff like Ariel Schrag- "Potential" (and now the somewhat alarming "Likewise"
Daniel Clowes- "Ghost World", "Caricature", "David Boring"
Los Bros Hernandez- "Duck Feet", "the Death of Speedy", "Blood of Palomar", "Wigwam Bam", "Luba Conquers the world", "Chester Square" etc.
George Herriman- "Krazy Kat"
James Kochalka- "The Sketchbook Diaries" etc.
RPM-"RPM"
plus R.Crumb, Debbie Drechsler, Paul Pope, Alan Moore, Eddie Campbell, Johnny Ryan, Peter Bagge, seth, Chris Ware, etc, etc.

It's in that little alley by Samuel taylors and the Hifi club that leads to the foot of Briggate.

Every time i've been in there I've been the only one in the shop, so PLEASE look in if you're in town and check it out. Don't let it slip away while you've got it in your grasp. Leeds with its cool music scene is the ideal place for a great comic scene and it won't happen without a shop like this around. we neeed it!

thankyou
the singer who draws comics.
