Subject: Best Single Ever

I was thinking to myself the other day 'what is the best single ever recorded?'

Some suggestions:

undertones - teenage kicks
buzzcocks - ever fallen in love
wannadies - you and me song
loads of U2 songs
They might be giants - birdhouse in your soul

At the risk of offending people on the grounds of being too mainstream I'd also have to put Bohemian Rhapsody on the list.

This is just off the top of my head and I haven't even started on the cheesypops yet (Belinda Carlisle)

What are your suggestions for the shortlist?

Obviously the Gojonny single is on the list - that goes without saying...
