I to have that problem. According to The ADA (American Disabilities Act) the university must give you some help. It is in this Constitutional amendment that it says that they can provide services like note takers. A note taker is a person who takes notes for you while you listen to the lecture. What I also do is I take a Mini tape recorder or mini digital recorder and record the session. All you have to do is let the teacher know. Not only will you be able to pay better attention in class but you will have notes and a recording of the session and be able to go over the notes with the voice recording. I also find the digital recorder helpful in composing papers.
