I am in my last year of college. I also have a serious case of dyslexic. I am taking a one year college coarse parttime. Yet this business coarse is taking me three and half years to finish. On my first year, I was struggling with the same problem. One thing is you have to know all the aid that your college could offer. I started by having a special needs counsellor which my college offered. Through her, she assisted me on my dyslexic. By giving a form to my instructors outlining my learning disability and explaining my weakness. This showed where I would not be penalitied yet overlooked. And. With many softwares, she kept telling me about many different ones like ReadPlease which I am using. Dragon is another one which you train the computer your voice and the computer listens. This is expensive but I saw it on the "Convention Show". By the second year, the school had a assistive technologist who would tape my textbook onto a CD and I play it on the computer. So I would follow the words on the screen and listen to the voice. I found my grades from repeating the coarse over (Failing the 1st time) to a C or B or even an odd A. I hope this is helpful.
