As the column of light got smaller and smaller it seemed as if it were being absorbed by the figure contained within it. The light continued to fade for a few more moments, then all at once it vanished, revealing a very changed Ryu.
His hair had grown longer and became white, and various red markings adorned his face. From the elbows on down skin had changed to ribbed scales, the fingers ending in claws. From the waist down he had likewise changed, his feet ending with two forked toes and a small claw on the heel, similar to a bird's. Four spines hung from his back, arranged like ragged wings.
For an odd moment or two, he floated there, not doing anything, like there wasn't anybody upstairs. But that passed, and the same feral expression he bore prior to the transformation returned. He looked down at the assortment of lava monsters, in particular the one that had struck Sarah. He leaned forward, turning to his side a little, and made as if to fly down to it. Ryu moved about a foot, then vanished. He reappeared moment he struck the lava monster with his extended elbow, the Shadow Walk attack strengthened numerous times over by his hybrid transformation into the Infinity dragon.
From the point of impact, a small shockwave erupted, knocking the lava monster back, and the force of it splattering the hot magma that had once been its body all over the battlefield, some if landing on trees and shrubs.
A second un-earthly roar sounded from Ryu, though this one was more akin to that of a large beast, rather than a man, as he slowly hovered throughout the area, looking for more enemies.
