He had moved to take the stud's reins.

The mare bobbed her dial while she lifted a hind limb to warn off Spice, before moving over to Amber. Tainted lowered her dial to amber's chest and heaved a great sigh. It wasn't fair, she didn't ask to get left behind, she didn't want to get left in the field, Her previous son had never given up hope that their owner would come and get them, take them away from that miserable lot. But Amber had saved them, shown them kindness and love.
