That's why I am presenting this information to you. I want you to set aside your pride for a moment to understand the reality of your origin, life, and fate. Not believing in God is sooooo easy to do, and converting someone's heart to becoming a believer is not something that no other person can do for you. You must make the decision to accept Jesus by faith. I've shared with you why Jesus came to earth, and what you must do to receive eternal life. I don't want to see you be one of the countless millions who, in order to maintain his pride, willingly disallows any of this to make sense to you.
I'm sure you've heard that Christ is "knocking at your door". This could not be more true. To receive Christ, admit to Him that you are a sinner, and ask Him to come into your heart and bear the punishment for your sins. He will enter. That is His promise to you.
Then do not turn away from the word of the Lord, but keep your heart and mind open. Over time as the Holy Spirit converts your heart, you will see the glory of God manifested in ways that you have never have seen before, which explains why people who accept Christ by faith say "He has opened my eyes." Through the Holy Spirit, God's word will answer your questions and become a source of strength and knowledge like nothing else on earth. (I'm guessing this may be why the Bible is referred to as the "living word" of God.)
I was very green to the whole idea of surrendering my life to Jesus, but I did it anyway, and I am awed at how far I've come in knowledge and understanding over the last couple of years because I listen to God's word. The concept of eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire did not phase me until I became a believer. But now I am ever grateful to the Lord for the gift of eternal life, because I now know without any doubt the fate that has been spared for me.
I wish I had the power to take my knowledge and understanding of reality and dump it into the minds of others so that they could suddenly see God at work. But that's not how it's done. God designed you with a conscience so that you have 100% control over whether or not you love Him or reject Him. You must make the right choice and allow God into your life so that he can help you change it. It's the only way you can truly become in touch with reality, and I pray it will happen for you.
