I posted this below, but I’ll post it again.
Tom, you believe religion is the path mankind must follow. You offer as proof of this belief, the testimony of religion, that religion is the path mankind must follow. Your arguments are the philosophical equivalent of perpetual motion: energy expending itself to generate the energy required to replenish itself. Sounds nifty in theory, but it just doesn’t work in fact.

The “World” the various middle eastern holy scriptures refer to with all their “documented” confrontations with God, was a tiny area of the planet surrounding the Persian Gulf. According to genesis, Adam and Eve popped into existence in Iraq a few thousand years ago, then mankind spread out from there. To date, not one shred of evidence supports any of this theory; mountains of evidence refute it.

While all this biblical creation, apple eating, begetting, begatting, flooding, talking bushes and stone tablet carving was taking place in bible land, the sparse but clearly present populations of the rest of the planet were going about their business the same as they had been for thousands of years. While Eve was being tempted by the serpent in the middle east, the rest of the population of the planet was blissfully unaware of the antics of the psychopathic middle eastern God. This fact pretty much kills genesis, (And the existence of dinosaurs blows it clear out of the water.)

When and where did life first appear on earth? Either nobody knows, or nobody appears willing to tell us.

When and where did life first appear in the Universe? I’m willing to bet nobody knows.

Does it make sense a serendipitous combining of random loose matter in a perfectly sterile environment accidentally created life on this planet? No.

Is it possible a single entity could have created our Universe without already existing in a still larger reality? No. (Unless God is a serendipitous combining of random loose energy/matter...an evolutionary by-product.)

The question of the origin of life still remains unanswered, and the existing theories are all patently unbelievable.

You appear to suggest only christians can go to heaven. So everyone existing prior to the time of Jesus had no heaven or hell to be concerned about. And, of the various christian cults, only the members of your cult (who agree with your interpretation of the bible) go to heaven. Everyone else is out of luck. (Of course, the muslims and jewish people will tell you only members of their cults, with simular subcult qualifications, can get into heaven.)

One thing seems quite obvious. Those few fanatics who might possibly qualify for middle eastern heaven would be extremely poor company to spend eternity with.
