Subject: My Experience

Just when I thought I was retired from pageants, I was given the opportunity to travel to Atlanta and experience a Perfect Production Pageant! It had been a year since I had been on a stage for a pageant, but the chance to go with a friend, put on a beautiful gown and have some fun was too much to resist

Who in the pageant world hasn’t seen the gorgeous full- page ads of the royalty from this system, and asked themselves the question, “ Who wants to be a Perfect Production girl?” I thought I was headed for a typical pageant experience, but I was in for many surprises.
I truly didn’t know that I was walking into the experience of a lifetime.

On the Friday evening that we arrived, a wonderful fashion show had been planned. My friend and I were fitted for our beautiful gowns and ready to go. A local shop had provided some outstanding gowns for the contestants to model, but that wasn’t all.

This pageant was not only for national contestants, but there were contestants from all over the world who had come to compete. One of those contestants, Jerusalem, from Ethiopia, had brought with her dozens of one-of-a-kind gowns that she had designed and hand made. Luscious velvets of purple, red, blue, embroidered with gold, and silky, slinky fabrics like I’ve never seen before were a part of her collection.

All of the contestants and audience alike were wowed by the show. It ended with a standing ovation for a young woman that was not only beautiful and graceful enough to win the Supermodel with Style Award, but graced with a talent to create glorious gowns.
Adding to the excitement charged evening was the announcement that I, along with Jamie Castelli had won the photogenic award, and would be the New Face of Perfect Productions Pageants.

A photo shoot with Prime Time Atlanta for Supermodels Unlimited followed. The shoot included Jamie, the phenomenal Jerusalem, from Ethiopia, the Supermodel with Style winner, and myself.

The most amazing thing about getting to work with these gorgeous ladies was the fun we had! It was an experience that I will always remember. Jerusalem even brought out her gowns for us to wear! I felt like royalty in her ethereal creations!

Being part of a Perfect Production Pageant is an experience like no other. The director, Bobbie Terry, makes sure that every contestant is treated royally, and has a good time. I know I did! The other girls and ladies that I met from all over the US and the world were also what made this pageant such a great experience. I know that I wanted to make sure the international contestants felt at home, and I believe all of us felt that way. It wasn’t so much about winning the crown as it was about coming together and getting to know people from other cultures. We laughed, shared and relished the hours that we all had come together around: to be a Perfect Production Pageant girl.
