When travelling i used to take too much stuff.
This time i'm only taking what i really need:
6 pair of undies
6 pair of sock
3 pants, two skirts, a towel
watercolours, coals, drawingpad.
journal, pen, pennywhistles, passport.
Got a room for free by the ocean
and i know i'll find work.
More importantly, i'll be away from people
pulling at my energy and essence,
who demand me to live the way they see fit.
I scale down, go pure.
I trust
the ocean
to whisper secrets
I know
I'll see beauty and truth
dig deep
know and find
what's important.
I love islands.
No skunks nor poisonous snakes.
Slooowness
means
watching for the unspoken,
the unseen,
the not-yet-understood
which makes sense
in the perfect weaving of the divine
that others
don't yet have the eye to see
I love watching
for patterns in the flight of the sea gulls
in the way onethousand shades of green
make up one
How the mountains run into the sea
where creation is everpresent
alive, divine, breathing,
and the wholeness of life
is shared by all
the wrinkled fishermen
the kind minister
the babbling grandmother
the freckled child
the cheeky bartender
my kind hosts 'retarded' brother
the random guests at the B&B
watch the sun sink into the sea
where
thousands of miles west
you watch it rise
(not that i think you get up that early)
where i can dream
into reality
to show you
THIS place
where music is everpresent
everyone's birthright
fed with mother's milk
and played into the night
bringing together young and old
white light piped
into
the netherworld
this place, my heart
waits for u and i
to dance
amidst sandy shores
into loving eternety
where love
fulfills the meaning
the creator intended.

This, dear unknown reader, is neither a poem nor a short story
it might be a genre yet to be named.
Do not frett,
chill out,
enjoy
or not
it's up to you.
