not sure if you guys realise this or not but the remote has a facility for just going through the codes one by one pressing up or down or something....i have lost my instructions but this is how i was able to set the remote up for my grandparents. i just went through changing from one to the next with the tv on and everytime i changed i pressed the power button until i got one that turned the tv off and everything else seemed to work aswell....good luck hope i helped
