Hello all!

I got up early this morning. Bankok is beautiful in the morning, before the heat hits.

Yesterday Sarah and I got up early to try and make it to the English Language tour at the national museum. However, our plans were foiled by the king of Sweden! Apparently he was in town for the day. The Thai's are sure fans of monarchies! People were lining the streets waving Thai and Swedish flags. There were HUGE pictures of the Thai King and Queen and the Swedish King and Queen lining the streets all over town. The museum was closed because of his visit.

Despite the setback, we still managed to find things to do yesterday. We visted the big temple, and the grand palace. It was quite impressive, though at times hard to see anything through the crowds of tourists. We had a little siesta during the hot part of the day, and then in the later afternoon had a lovely time at the zoo!

Today we are planning on visiting another temple (Phra Kho I think it is called), where the giant reclining Buddha is. I think we may also look into getting ourselves some Thai massages.

The food here is SO good, and SO cheap!! We're loving it ;)

I'm going to take off and start my day now. Just a reminder to you all, please post on here and let us know what's going on in your lives! We keep wondering how the folks back home are :)

Love to all!

Nomi
