Subject: Loot Procedures

Hey guys, I really was hoping that I wouldn't have to put up another post about this, but I really think we need to talk about loot procedures again (another post cuz I forgot to add this one to the MM raid one ;-p). People, ninja looting is frowned upon. I realize that many of you know this, and I know for a fact that many of my long-time friends in the guild know this as well. We've been playing for what seems like forever and a day so I know that most of us know that right-clicking as soon as the mob dies is just gonna piss everyone off. I'm not going to name names, but I was very disappointed when I found myself having to send tells to Pirs or Bodean asking them to loot drops because I couldn't trust the drops not to be ninja looted. I even found myself looting corpse to hold stuff there for the people that needed no drop stuff because I wanted to be sure that everyone had their share. This just annoyed me because being a monk I can't carry all that useless cash and stuff, and found myself destroying a whole lotta spare change ;-p. The purpose of these raids is to have fun as a guild, while in the process of aquiring drops that certain classes need for quests and such. If the classes can't get what they need because someone ninja l00ted an ass-load of no drop stuff, half the reason for being there has been flushed down the toilet. Now people, please...ninja-looting is frowned upon and cannot be tolerated in the guild as we will always try our best to make sure that everyone gets their fair share of drops. Need before greed. Also, it should be known that the purpose of these raids is not necessarily to gain exp...it's to have fun as a guild and to aquire items that our members need that they can't necessarily do on their own. Raids for experience may come in time, but that's generally the higher level stuff. As far as things like MistMoore or Unrest, the only reason the higher levels are there is too have fun with the guild and to provide a helping hand if things get hairy (lord knows poor Bo shouted "INC EXP!!!!!" everytime he finally found something that was blue ;-p). Anyway, exp will come in time, although more often or not, the way groups are laid out in events like this, generally it will ot be a place to level. As far as managing the groups as best we can, we can't put the lower levels in with the 40+ because they won't get exp anyway, and the higher groups tend to do the most damage, acting as an exp Hoover Vaccuum. So please, when any member attends a guild raid, please understand that if you're not getting exp in your group, it's simply because the groups were laid out in the best way possible to provide a safer raid for all. And I'm really proud of the way the groups went last night as casualties (considering the VAST amount of trains) were kept to a minimum. Anyway, that's all for now, and I hope to see you all in-game.
