Hey everyone, my name is Matt Simms and I am a second year Knesiology major from Hereford, Maryland. I have been playing sports since I was 7. I played baseball, football, and basketball until I got into high school, then it was all football. I come from a small town and so football was everything, the whole town came out to watch the games on Friday night. I ran track and field to get faster and stronger for football, competing in the shotput and 100 meter hurdles. I played all four years of high school football, going 40-3 while going to the state semi-finals twice. I was an all-county tight end my senior year and I played middle linebacker on defense. I was recruited to play in college for Div. 3 schools but came to Maryland for academics. I love sports and I can't even imagine how different my life would be with them.
