Whoever this is, she's only displaying her ignorance of what good fanfic writers do. It's not easy taking preexisting material and shining a light into hidden corners, while still staying true to the "feel" of the original. It actually takes a lot of thought and a subtle touch to get it right.

I don't think there is a clear line that you can point to and say, "If you cross that, it's too much." It all depends on what you're *doing* with the original dialogue. If you're just reproducing a script with very little added, yeah, that seems sort of pointless. But if you're interacting with the dialogue to change the way we think about a scene, then what you've done is genuinely creative. And I can tell you that I've read your work, and you're doing some wonderfully creative stuff.

However, having said all of the above, I don't think this person really cares all that much about fanfic. If you'd had LJ posts about knitting she wouold have found some way to mock that instead. She just has a grudge and decided to attack you using whatever she could find.
