Subject: Get well wishes for Joyce

Many LFN fans will remember Joyce (bluewolf) who tirelessly organized fan and MIRA events for the fandom. I would like to ask for your thoughts, prayers and good wishes for her as she has suffered many serious health problems over many months.

Here is what Loveroy has to say:
Our beloved sister bluewolf is yet again in the hospital. For those of you who are newbies to the LFN fandom let me enlighten you on who our remarkable Joyce really is. Joyce is a wife, mother, grandmother, humanitarian, friend, teacher, and all around amazing human being. For many years Joyce brought us the fabulous, always rewarding and life-altering Mira fund raisers. She dedicated herself to providing us the opportunity to bask in the whole Montreal experience; because of her we met Roy Dupuis and learned about the amazing organization that he used to support. Of course even before that she basically fashioned the LFN fandom and to this day Joyce is still a Nikita supporter. I remember even before I went to Montreal for my first Mira Event and Defi Vision race, reading about the fun at the Cons and enjoying the tales of bluewolf's adventures.

I also remember reading of other fans with cancer scares that Joyce helped through her compassion. Now it is Joyce who is again facing the very difficult path of cancer related health problems. Joyce is in a hospital in California , next to her incredible husband Tom, while her daughter Megan and granddaughter Ally stay at home. I have spoken this afternoon with her and she is in pain, but in good spirits. She is expected to leave the hospital in a couple of weeks – some of us will be seeing her in October and she needs to look spectacular as always by then.

To ask that you pray for her would be patently obvious, to hope that you send good thoughts her way again would be self-evident and to expect that you wish her the best would be ridiculously apparent. So may I propose that you post here your good wishes for our friend Joyce and I can assure you that one of us or Tom or Megan will get the posts to her or you can email us and we will let Joyce know how much she is truly loved and respected.
