and that is the Mary Sue who gets Michael because she unnnnderrstanndds him - all his silences, all his lies, all his occasional jerkwad behavior - without him ever saying word. Because understanding a guy who never talks is so easy, especially within hours of meeting him, which is usually when 'understanding' first appears.

Unlike, of course, that nasty Nikita who "just doesn't get our guy in black."

Or, really any of the Marysue stories that totally slam Nikita and send her off onto some gruesome fate just to get her out of the way.

Those - I will admit I dislike heartily and quit reading as soon as I realize that's where things are headed.
