She felt sick.

Trying to swallow over the hard lump that was wedged in her throat was almost impossible. Her stomach rolled uneasily.

Breathing slowly and deeply, no outward sign of her distress showed. To expose a weakness - especially in front of this dangerous enemy - completely unfathomable.

The seconds ticked by, calmness and serenity again decended upon her. As her hated nemesis departed her office, she came to a decision.

Something would have to be done. For the first time, Nikita had managed to disturb Madeline, causing her to cut off a healthy bud on her favourite orchid.

Unacceptable!
