As tinpra announced, there's a challenge on LJ called the fanfic100 Challenge. If you're interested in writing, go here:

and click on the "Big Damn Table." EVERYTHING is up for grabs, from movies, to tv shows, to books, to the Pittsburgh Steelers, to Axyl Rose, to Yu-Gi-Oh; anything you could POSSIBLY think of to write about.

If you want to enter, read the FAQs and download the table of prompts (there are 100 in all, but NO time limit). Go here:

My fandom is "La Femme Nikita" (duh) and my character is "Adam Samuelle." I've got a few stories up, and more in the works (you have been warned).

Obviously there is room for many, many more; no one has touched on Operations, Walter or Birkoff at all, let alone Quinn, Mick, Mr. Jones, The Torture Twins, Simone, Perry Bauer, David and Lisa Fanning...you get my point. Any and all characters (in the same fandom) are also pairable and slashable, though if anyone slashes Michael, please don't tell me about it. ;)

Here's the kewl part for fic readers:

From the Big Damn Table, look in any fandom you want, and click on the "Character/pairings/etc" and read every story written under this claim. As of this moment, 2921 claims have been made, so there shouldn't be any complaints about there being "nothing new out there" to read. :-D You can also click on the author's LJ link, and read anything he or she has written in any fandom.

In addition to the fanfic100 challenge, you can also access the lfn_fanfiction community. There are beaucoup LFN fics and ficlets here that aren't posted at Ramna's or on Voy. You can join the lfn_fanfiction community or just read what's there without having to write a word. Comments and feedback are nice, though (hint).
