Subject: Last Time

I should have just gone over to her and said hello. She was the kind of girl I would have liked to know.
Didn't have the guts, though. Easy to do. Start a conversation somehow.

Could have said something like...
"Hi, I think that as we catch the same bus nearly every day, we should at least be talking buddies." and see where it goes.

Or, "Excuse me, I see that you are a reader (She almost always had a book in her hands)
I have one word missing on this crossword I am doing. Can you tell me a six letter word for flood? Starts with a d and ends with an e."

Or even pretended to have an arguement with my friend Johnny and asked her to settle it one way or the other.

I would love to go back in time and change things. Then everything else would have changed.

But could, would, and should were no bloody good unless acted on.
And it is too late now.

Saw her for weeks on the same bus. Never knew her name.
Until the last time I saw her. Well. Her picture anyhow.
Front page. Then I saw her name underneath.
