"My resignation will be necessary," he said, sipping from his gin.
"Perhaps," Madeline replied. Standing behind his chair she rubbed his shoulders. "It is ,possible you were set up."
He turned his head catching her eye. "You think I ordered this," he said.
She stepped around the desk, reaching for her half-empty glass. "I think what I think."
"You can be a real..." he began as the intercom buzzed.
"George, sir," the voice said.
Operations sat back in his chair listening for his death sentence to come.
