travelled immediately down the road of trying to figure out what sort of romantic/sexual activity most closely resembled husking an ear of corn.
You know - still trying to work with it as a verb that I am familiar with.
You should not be suprised that my thoughts went -
Corn is to penis as foreskin is to husks.
At which point I wrinkled my brow and said, "eww."
I am in truth, somewhat (1), relieved to learn that I was wrong and it was trying to make the adjective husky into a verb (of sorts). *g*
But then, why not 'he husked across the room' - for someone who had been drescribed as 'husky'? Or, 'husking across the snow' for husky sled-dogs?
