Well, the fandom is definitely slowing down. I guess that's to be expected 7 years after the series ended. There are some stories being actively posted on both SB1 and SB2 (by Mary and taurus2124, for example), but it's not like the old days.

You might want to check out the Livejournal LFN fanfiction community in addition to the Storyboards. There's not a *lot* of fic being posted (maybe one new story per month), but they tend to be finished stories, so there's no worry about the authors abandoning them in the middle. I believe that there is also a small but steady number of LFN stories being posted at fanfiction.net as well.

I still have story ideas that I'd like to write, but it's hard to know if there are any readers left out there who would be interested. (Especially for my stuff, which had a small audience among LFN fans even in the days when things were more active!) I'm probably going to post things to the Livejournal community, but I'm not sure if I'll put them on the Storyboards.
