Subject: Wow - this popped up on my screen, out of the blue!

I don't even remember the last time I posted something here! I was trying to send a "Happy Autumn!"e-card to a bunch of people in my address book, my computer took a header, and when I did th "ctrl+alt+del" thing to stop the application and then logged back on, this website was sitting there, with relatively new entries on it!

Now, I'm not one to ignore serendipitous events when they happen, so this had to have been a sign. And here I am - a slightly-overweight Tinkerbell, wand in hand, ready to bap on demand. *g*

Hello to all my beloved LFN folks who are still clinging to the REAL "La Femme Nikita" (accept no substitutions!) I watched part of one episode of the CW's rendition, but I confess - I went into it jaded and spoiled and expecting far too much, so basically, my watching experience was immediately sabotaged by my own memories of OUR "LFN."

I tried to give it a chance, but every time I thought about how WB never gave LFN enough publicity; never supported it; (at one time, they didn't even know they owned the rights to it!); and basically treated it like a throwaway show to fill in for WWF, I just couldn't get behind this revamped, updated, "new and improved, better than ever" mutant version.

I'll stick to my four and a half seasons of the REAL thing, thankyouverymuch. And in the future, when people are clamoring for a femme fatale with long legs, blue eyes, and perfect aim, I'll just point them in the direction of the original "La Femme Nikita" series, and then sit back and watch them smack themselves in the forehead as realization sets in.

Revenge is sweet. I just wish it could also be instantaneous. *g*
